Finally switched to proper racking pallets and here's what happened
So I wanted to share my experience because a few months ago I was on here stressing about whether to invest in better pallets for our new racking setup. We finally pulled the trigger and ordered a batch after I spent way too much time going back and forth on the decision. We went with the https://www.crateco.ae/productlist/heavy-duty-or-rackable-pallets from a supplier I found through some recommendations, and honestly it's been such a relief. The difference is pretty obvious the moment you lift one, the build quality is just solid and they sit perfectly on the beams without any wobble or sagging. We had a small incident last week where a forklift bumped into one of the racking legs and I was terrified something would collapse, but the pallet held up fine and nothing shifted. One thing I learned the hard way is that not all pallets are created equal for racking, and you really need to check the load specs carefully because some claim to be rackable but they're really not built for it. Anyway, just wanted to throw this out there for anyone who's on the fence like I was. It costs a bit more upfront but the peace of mind alone is worth it.
